Overview

This policy explains how Resume Toolbox processes resume contents, what the website itself requests, and what standard hosting data may be recorded when you visit the site.

Data Collection

The current tools do not transmit your resume contents to us. Resume text, uploaded files, and analysis results are processed in your browser. They are not included in requests made by the tools. Like most hosted websites, the hosting provider may record standard request metadata such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps for security and reliability.

Local Storage

Some tools use your browser's localStorage to save your work (for example, the Resume Builder saves your resume data so you can return to it later). This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted by the resume tools.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, or by using your browser's "Clear site data" feature.

Anonymous Product Analytics

When enabled for this website, Vercel Web Analytics measures aggregate page visits and a small set of product actions, such as whether an import, preview, ATS check, or export completed. URLs are stripped of query strings and fragments before reporting. Event properties are restricted to coarse values such as file format and success or rejection category.

Analytics never includes resume text, job-description text, uploaded filenames, names, email addresses, phone numbers, employers, exported files, or analysis scores. Resume Toolbox does not use advertising trackers or session replay. Browser Do Not Track is honored, and you can change this preference on this device below.

Anonymous product analyticsShare page visits and non-sensitive workflow events. Resume content and filenames are never included.

Cookies

Resume Toolbox does not use advertising cookies. The resume tools use local browser storage for drafts and your analytics preference. Using an external link is subject to the destination website's policy.

Third-Party Services

Application resources

The current production build serves its application code and open-source libraries from the same website. Resume content is processed in browser memory and localStorage; it is not included in asset requests.

Hosting and analytics

Vercel hosts the website and provides aggregate Web Analytics. Vercel may process standard request and analytics metadata under its own service terms. If accounts, payments, cloud sync, remote AI, or advertising are introduced later, this policy will be updated before those services are enabled.

Data Retention

Resume contents stored in your browser's localStorage persist until you clear them. Uploaded files (PDF, TXT) are processed in memory and discarded when you close or refresh the page. Standard hosting request logs, if present, are retained according to the hosting provider's security and retention settings and do not include resume contents submitted to these browser tools. Aggregate analytics retention is controlled by the hosting provider.

Children's Privacy

Resume Toolbox is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly design the service to collect resume contents from children. Standard website request metadata may still be processed as described above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
